Savory Spice Shop Announces Franchise Opportunity
A new concept for the franchise marketplace, Savory Spice Shop offers more than 400 herbs, spices and seasonings that are ground and blended weekly to ensure superior freshness.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 20, 2009 -- Savory Spice Shop, with four operating stores in the Denver metropolitan area, announced today their plans for selling franchises throughout the US. "We've been well received by the Denver marketplace and are excited to expand this exciting concept even further," says Mike Johnston, who with his wife, Janet, founded the first Savory Spice Shop in downtown Denver in September, 2004. Success followed and their second store was opened south of Denver in Littleton in September, 2006. In 2008, continued expansion included a store in Boulder, Colorado and a fourth in east Denver.

The shop, with its hundreds of jars lining the walls and bins filled with fragrant spices, helps to create a shopping experience of days past. Customers are encouraged to sample products and have packaged only the amounts they need, starting at as little as a half ounce.
"Going into this franchise venture we were concerned that our loyal Colorado customers would be disappointed that we were taking our 'Mom and Pop' shops big," says Janet. "However, after Mike and I discussed how so many people had approached us over the years with a desire to have a shop like ours, we realized that if we used a franchise model, we could selectively offer passionate people the opportunity to have their own Savory Spice Shop and create job opportunities as well. If we were selective in choosing our store locations and continued to handle our product in the same fashion as we do now, we could build a brand that everyone, including our loyal Colorado customers, could be proud of."
